"At the end of 2023 this 2017 album was finally released.. We'd released two Singles from it, then Life came along and the timing didn't seem right, then more Life happened and I moved back to Vermont for family reasons, having to leave my band behind. We were called Arrows In Orbit, and 4 of these songs were recorded in a mostly live format,

We'd released two Singles from it, then Life came along and the timing didn't seem right, then more Life happened and I moved back to Vermont for family reasons, having to leave my band behind. We were called Arrows In Orbit, and 4 of these songs were recorded in a mostly live format, recording guitars, drums, bass, and keys on the spot, as pictured, then we over-dubbed the rest. Once I learned I was leaving we decided we'd add 3 live-performance recordings to it. This album is a snapshot of most of the setlist we'd play at every show at that time."

"In Santa Barbara, within the freedom found in anonymity, I played every open mic and set I could, getting better and groing stronger and going from only-sitting (cuz I was so nervous) to standing, working towards my first set of original material, and formed a trio we called "Woven" with Guitar Matt and Sean Day. When Matt's girlfriend learned she was pregnant, they decided to move up to Portland Oregon to be closer to family. After spinning my wheels a bit i decided to move up to Portland to play with Matt again and we formed Folkrum. Later I'd travel throughout Southeast Asia for 3 months and when I returned needed work and a friend said someone was building a new venue down on Mississippi Ave.; it ended up being Jim Brunberg building Mississippi Studios, I helped demo the old place and worked on the new one enough that when he built the recording studio part of the venue he let us be the first to record there, and we recorded this album."
